Who controls your data?
For this website and direct communications operating the Senior Home Safety Service Toolkit from Italy. Contact: info@seniorhomesafetytoolkit.com.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled when you visit https://seniorhomesafetytoolkit.com, contact us, request support, or purchase the digital toolkit. The checkout is provided by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record and applies its own privacy and checkout terms.
2. Information we may process
Information you provide
- Your name, email address, and message when you contact us.
- Order details, purchase email, product information, and support history when needed to provide the product or resolve an issue.
- Any information you voluntarily include in a support request. Do not send real client records, health information, property photographs, or other sensitive information unless specifically requested and necessary.
Website and analytics information
After you accept analytics, Microsoft Clarity may collect technical and interaction information such as browser and device type, approximate location, pages viewed, referral information, clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, layout and performance events, and session playback data. Privacy-sensitive fields and form inputs are masked by Clarity.
Payment information
Payment card and checkout information is processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details. Lemon Squeezy may provide us with customer and order information needed for delivery, support, fraud prevention, and recordkeeping.
3. Why we process information
- To respond to inquiries and pre-purchase questions.
- To deliver, administer, and support the digital product.
- To verify purchases and resolve download, compatibility, or access issues.
- To protect the website, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- To understand website usability and improve content, but only after analytics consent.
4. Legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar law applies, processing may rely on:
- Contract or pre-contractual steps: responding to purchase questions, delivering the product, and providing support.
- Consent: optional Microsoft Clarity analytics.
- Legitimate interests: website security, fraud prevention, service improvement, and business administration, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligations: accounting, dispute handling, regulatory requests, and compliance duties.
5. Analytics, cookies, and preferences
Microsoft Clarity is not loaded until you select Accept analytics. Advertising storage remains disabled. Selecting Reject non-essential prevents Clarity from loading. Your choice is stored locally in your browser so the site can remember it.
You may change your choice at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer. Removing site data from your browser also resets the choice.
6. Service providers
We use providers only as needed to operate the site and product:
- Vercel: website hosting and delivery.
- Microsoft Clarity: optional usage analytics and session insights after consent.
- Lemon Squeezy: checkout, payment processing, tax handling, orders, refunds, and chargebacks as merchant of record.
- Aruba: domain and business email services.
These providers may process information in countries outside your own. Where required, transfers are handled using the safeguards made available by the relevant provider and applicable law.
7. Retention
- Inquiry and support messages are retained only as long as reasonably necessary, generally no longer than 24 months after the last interaction unless a longer period is needed for a dispute or legal obligation.
- Purchase and business records may be retained for the periods required by tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and consumer-protection law.
- Microsoft publishes its own Clarity retention periods. Clarity session playback is generally retained for 30 days, while certain aggregated, heatmap, or favorited data may be retained longer under Microsoft’s current settings.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of your personal information, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Send requests to info@seniorhomesafetytoolkit.com. We may need to verify your identity. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or the supervisory authority in your country.
9. Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information. No internet or email transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
10. Children
This website and product are intended for adult business and home-service professionals. They are not directed to children or users under 18.
11. Automated decisions and sale of data
We do not use personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We do not directly sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
12. Policy changes
This policy may be updated when the website, product, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date shown at the top will be updated when material changes are published.
